Microsoft Teams

The RunLLM assistant can be deployed as a bot in your Microsoft Teams workspace to answer questions directly in channels.

To install the RunLLM bot for Teams, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the config tab on the RunLLM dashboard and select Microsoft Teams.
  2. In Teams, right-click on the channel where you want to deploy the bot and select Get link to channel. Copy the URL.
  3. Paste the channel URL into the Channel URL field. RunLLM will automatically extract the required tenant and channel information.
  4. Set the Response Type: choose Respond to mentions to have the bot reply only when tagged, or Respond to all to have it reply to every message in the channel.
  5. Save the config and add the RunLLM bot to the channel.

To test the bot, mention it (@RunLLM) in the channel along with a question. The bot will respond in a thread. Note that answers are generated by AI and may not be fully accurate.

Optional parameters

  • Ignore messages from bots: When enabled (default), the bot will ignore messages from other bots. Disable this if you want the bot to process messages from automated workflows or other bots in the channel.
